Looks like I didn't need to spend all that time futzing around with the limited layout options in the two themes Typepad Misery provides to the non-paying Vox refugees -- good design doesn't matter to Marco Arment. Especially not if it's going to cost him money.
You know, I'm shocked too. I could have sworn this was the same man who argued that good design needed to be integral to the creation of a product. That he endorsed the argument that good layout was important to a digital magazine. But I guess it's only important until it starts costing him in money or ads. I guess he has changed his mind since 2008. Or maybe it is an elaborate plot to make Instapaper much more valuable as an oasis in lakes of text.
